We as the body of Christ at Mt Zion Progressive believe and teach from a powerful base of scripture.

Our Theology

We teach that the Holy Spirit administers spiritual gifts to the church. The Holy Spirit glorifies neither Himself nor His gifts by displays, but He does glorify Christ by implementing His work of redeeming the lost and building up believers in the most holy faith (John 16:13,14; Acts 1:8; 1 Cor. 12:4-11; 2 Cor. 3:18).

Our Vision

“Where there is no vision, the people perish…” Proverbs 29:18 (KJV)

The Lord has commanded us to be a witness unto Him at home and in the community. He has also commissioned us for this mission with power. “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses…to the ends of the earth.” Acts 1:8 (NIV).

Except we are truly filled with His Holy Spirit we will not have the faith nor the commitment to see the vision through.

VISION: The immediate vision is for the church to be debt free and change our community within a two-mile radius of the church.

In order to bring about effective change we need to touch the lives of the people in our community by providing services that minister to their physical, social, educational, occupational and spiritual needs.

Such services as a day care center, a private Christian school, affordable housing, job training programs, economic development programs, parenting programs, drug prevention/rehabilitation programs, mentoring programs for at risk youth, halfway houses for men/women released from correctional institutions, missions, and many others.

Neglect not the gift that is in thee, the gift of giving. ”...and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of hosts, if I will not open you in the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it.” Mal 3:10 (KJV). This is exceptionally fertile ground and those that shall plant therein shall reap a bountiful harvest!
